One participant shared:

“This is a crazy experience—a platform for people to voice our/my experiences to peers/colleagues in healthcare is critical. It validates, affirms, and supports all of us and shows it is definitely a broader issue – not just our opinions or complaints. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

Another participant noted: “I know we are only part way through the course, but I really feel it has been transformative for me and holds value for every leader in healthcare.  Thank you for putting together this unique and forward-thinking experience!”

Some healthcare educator participants have started to work with The Proximity Project to incorporate some of the content discussed in the program in their curriculum for healthcare professionals.

Other participants have discussed how they will use what they are learning to shift policies and practices in healthcare settings.

Cohort members are also committing to building deeper partnerships with grassroots organizations serving communities of color and increasing their presence in those communities.

Many of the organizations represented in the first cohort are also sending more members of their staff to participate in the June cohort.
